68% of POS-terminals in Azerbaijan accounted for Baku

Baku. December,5. REPORT.AZ/ Total number of POS-terminals, which are in usage at the banks based in Azerbaijan increased during last month by 9,7% and amounted to 64 297 as of November, 1.

Report informs referring the report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, 43 767 (68,1%) POS-terminals accounted for Baku city, but 20 530 (31,9%) for regions of Azerbaijan.

In comparison with the previous month, number of POS-terminals on Baku city increased by 9,0%, and by 11,3% in regions. And this demonstrates, increasing speed of numbers of POS-terminals in regions exceeds Baku city.

It also should be noted that, 62 876 of POS-terminals available in Azerbaijan accounted for retail trade sector.
