Bahrain to host World Weightlifting Championships 2024

The World Weightlifting Championships 2024 will be held in the capital of Bahrain, Manama. This decision was made at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) in Havana, Report informs referring to Sputnik-Armenia.
The capitals of Armenia and Albania, Yerevan and Tirana, also applied to host the World Championships, but Manama received a lot of support during the voting.
The world championships will take place in November or December next year, a few months after the Summer Olympics in Paris.
