Volume of oil pumped through BTC Turkish section up by over 5%

A total of 94.114 million barrels of oil were pumped through the Turkish section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in January-May of this year, 4.662 million barrels, or 5.21%, more than in the same period of the previous year, Report informs, citing the Turkish operator BOTAS.
A total of 19.973 million barrels of oil were pumped through the Turkish section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in May of this year, up 234,000 barrels, or 1.18%, from a year earlier.
The BTC pipeline currently carries mainly oil from Azerbaijan from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block and condensate from the Shah Deniz field. In addition, other volumes of crude oil and condensate, including oil from Turkmenistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, are transported through the BTC.
