Volume of gas exported to Türkiye via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline revealed

To date, more than 79 billion cubic meters of gas have been exported to Türkiye through the South Caucasus Pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum), Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry.
In the first quarter of 2024, the average daily transmission capacity of the pipeline was 61.7 million cubic meters.
The Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline was put into operation at the end of 2006. The pipeline starts from the Sangachal terminal near Baku. It was built after the discovery of the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field to transport the natural gas to the Turkish market.
The total length of the pipeline is 691 km - 443 km in Azerbaijan, 248 km in Georgia.
