US ambassador voices hope for increase in Azerbaijani gas supplies to Europe

Washington believes that Azerbaijan will ramp up its gas supplies to the EU countries, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger told a briefing, as quoted by Report.

The diplomat said this would help reduce dependence on Russian gas.

According to him, the United States is in talks with Azerbaijan on increasing and even doubling gas supplies.

The ambassador also called for more attention to green energy sources, including solar and hydrogen power, adding that Azerbaijan's role, in this case, is very important.
