UK interested in supporting green energy sector in Azerbaijan, ambassador says

The United Kingdom is interested in supporting the development of the green energy sector in Azerbaijan, British Ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp said at a meeting during the Baku Energy Week, Report informs.

According to him, his country shares its experience in the renewable energy sector with Azerbaijan. The diplomat added that both countries have signed agreements on government-to-government energy transitions.

The UK also organized seminars and webinars on the renewable energy sector, the ambassador said, noting that his country shares its experience with Azerbaijan.

Sharp added that there is great potential for wind energy in the Caspian Sea. He expressed UK's readiness to continue this work in Azerbaijan.
