UAE buys gasoline from Azerbaijan

In January-July 2022, Azerbaijan imported 185,480 tons of RON-92 brand automobile gasoline for $211.64 million, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.

These figures are 37.1 times and 88.7 times more year-on-year, respectively.

Azerbaijan imported 136,693 tons for $154.79 million from Russia, 42,831 tons for $49.6 million from Turkmenistan, 3,526 tons for $3.99 million from Kazakhstan, and 2,425 tons worth $3.256 million from Romania.

The supply from Romania resumed after a break of four years and 11 months, and the supply from Russia and Turkmenistan resumed after a break of 1 year and 9 months. İn 2022, Azerbaijan bought RON-92 gasoline from Kazakhstan for the first time in the last 11 years.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 9,710 tons of RON-92 gasoline worth $8.81 million (only to the United Arab Emirates), which is 62% and 33.8% less than a year ago, respectively.

This year, Azerbaijan exported gasoline to the UAE for the first time in the last 11 years.
