Turkish consul general: Commissioning of Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline is historic event

The commissioning of the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline is indeed a historic event, Asip Kaya, the Consul General of Türkiye in Nakhchivan, told Report.

According to Kaya, Turkish-Azerbaijani relations are being successfully developed and expanded in all areas:

“We have witnessed a historic event in recent days. The Igdir-Nakhchivan natural gas pipeline project, the foundation of which was laid by the presidents of the two countries in September 2023, was completed in a short time and commissioned on Wednesday.

This is a very important project in terms of the security of Azerbaijan's natural gas supply. The commissioning of the project is indeed a historic event for Nakhchivan. I believe that in the coming period, we will implement even larger projects together with our Azerbaijani brothers.”
