STAR refinery accounts for over 50% of total petroleum coke produced in Türkiye

The STAR refinery, an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, produced over 75,670 tons of petroleum coke in August 2023, up 11,900 tons, or 18.7%, year-on-year, Report informs referring to the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).
The STAR refinery accounted for 50.08% of the total petroleum coke produced in Türkiye.
In the reporting period, a total of 151,088 tons of petroleum coke were produced at the Turkish refineries, 12,164 tons, or 8.76%, more than in the same period in 2022.
