SOCAR-Turkey: Possibility of third wave is a big risk for refineries

"Breaks in the supply chain of the petroleum products caused problems in naphtha supply and its price has significantly increased in the recent months, Chairman of SOCAR Turkey Refinery and Petrochemical Business Unit, Petkim Director-General Anar Mammadov told Anadolu Agency, Report informs.
According to him, demand for petrochemical products increases by 3% every year: “The pandemic caused more increase in the demand. Therefore, we are not expecting any decline in the petrochemical sector, but, the possibility of the third wave will lead to big risks for refineries.”
