SOCAR Trading, Algerian company mull co-op in energy sector

SOCAR Trading, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, and the Algerian State Oil and Gas Company Sonatrach have discussed expanding cooperation in the energy sector, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Energy.

This issue was discussed at a meeting in Algiers between a delegation led by Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Sonatrach CEO Toufik Hakkar.

At the meeting, extensive information was provided on the activities of Sonatrach and issues of expanding cooperation between the Algerian company and SOCAR were discussed.

Shahbazov stressed the importance of the early start of work on the planned road map regarding future cooperation between the countries.

During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the Research and Development Center of Sonatrach, as well as the Algerian Petroleum Institute.
