SOCAR sharply increases oil export via Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline 

In January-May 2021, SOCAR exported 413,660 tons of crude oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, Report informs, referring to the Central Dispatch Center of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.

According to the Center, SOCAR sent 413,660 tons of oil to Novorossiysk port in the five months of 2021, up 14 times from the previous year.

In May, the pipeline transported 159,890 tons of Azerbaijani oil.

SOCAR and Transneft signed an agreement on the transportation of 1 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in 2021. In 2020, the transportation via this pipeline amounted to 613,290 tons.
