SOCAR’s refinery in Turkiye sees 12% growth in crude oil imports

STAR Oil Refinery, an asset of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Turkiye, imported 1,007,747 tons of crude oil in April 2022, up 107,288 tons or 11.9% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).
This figure made up 25.62% of Turkiye’s total crude oil imports.
In total, the country imported 2,893,200 tons of crude oil in October, 24.25% higher than a year earlier.
STAR Oil Refinery was inaugurated on October 19, 2018.
