SOCAR Polymer’s export earnings down 14%

SOCAR Polymer LLC, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), exported $105.7 million worth of products in January-July 2022, down $17 million or 13.8% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Export Review of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication.
In the first seven months of 2022, Azerbaijan’s exports totalled $22.6 billion, with the non-oil sector accounting for $1.7 billion.
SOCAR Polymer owns a Polypropylene Plant with an annual production capacity of 184,000 tons. The plant was inaugurated on June 18, 2018, with the participation of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella. Exports of polypropylene began on October 5, 2018.
