SOCAR Polymer increases export revenues 74%

In January-August this year, SOCAR Polymer LLC, a 57% subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), exported products worth $ 142.7 million, up USD 60.6 million or 73.8% more than in the same period last year, Report informs, citing the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication.
The SOCAR Polymer project includes polypropylene plants with an annual capacity of 184,000 tons. The polypropylene plant was commissioned on July 18, 2018, with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Italian President Sergio Mattarella. Export of polypropylene started on October 5.
