SOCAR increases exports of polymer products by 2.8 times

In 2021, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported non-oil products to the tune of $712.2 million, including polymer products, 183% more than in the same period last year, Report informs with reference to SOCAR.

In 2021, SOCAR accounted for 26.4% of the country's total exports of non-oil products.

SOCAR Polymer has a Polypropylene Plant with an annual production capacity of 184,000 tons. The plant was inaugurated on June 18, 2018, with the participation of Azerbaijani and Italian Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Sergio Mattarella respectively. Exports of polypropylene began on October 5, 2018.
