SOCAR Türkiye, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, has begun implementing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in its projects, according to Elchin Ibadov, CEO of SOCAR Türkiye, as quoted by Report.
Speaking at the 30th Anniversary Baku Energy Forum, Ibadov mentioned that digital transformation is not just about automating existing processes, but also about reimagining the future:
"Digitalization is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. This approach is particularly important in terms of attracting Generation Z to the company's activities. When Generation Z feels that the organization is not transitioning to digital transformation, they do not want to be a part of it."
He also noted that the company has implemented an AI-based optimization project in the diesel sector: "This project allows for ensuring the product's compliance with technical requirements, increasing production quality, and making rapid online decisions.
The CEO further stated that another important initiative being implemented is an AI project aimed at anomaly detection: "This system allows for timely detection of unexpected behaviors, whether data disruption or cybersecurity threats. This AI-based anomaly detection project is an important component of our digital transformation strategy and is being successfully implemented."
