Serbia to build interconnector with North Macedonia

Serbia is developing its gas transportation system and is going to build a connecting pipeline with North Macedonia to become more independent of Russian gas supplies, Yury Pilipson, Director of the Fourth European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Report informs via Russian media that Pilipson was commenting on Belgrade's plans to build an interconnector with North Macedonia, Report informs via Russian media.
"Serbia, as a sovereign state, is developing its gas transportation system and energy network based on its own priorities. We treat this with due respect, building cooperation with Serbian friends on the basis of mutual consideration of interests and mutual benefit," he said.
