The Energy Market Regulatory Authority of Türkiye (EPDK) has given the green light to BOTAS and SOCAR Enerji Ticaret A.S, a subsidiary of SOCAR, to reserve capacities for spot gas supplies to the country in September. This decision comes following a tender held on August 22.
According to Report, which cites EPDK, both companies have secured the right to book capacities for daily spot supplies to Türkiye's gas distribution networks, totaling 9.702 million cubic meters of gas per day. BOTAS has reserved capacities for daily supplies of 7.839 million cubic meters, while SOCAR Enerji Ticaret A.S. will deliver 1.863 million cubic meters.
BOTAS will ensure supplies from the Kiyikoy entry point, while SOCAR Enerji Ticaret A.S. will deliver gas from the Turkgozu entry point located in the Turkgozu village of Türkiye's northeastern Ardahan province.
