Operator of Nord Stream 2 reduces pressure in gas pipeline

Nord Stream AG, which is the operator of Nord Stream 2, has reduced the pressure in the second line as a precautionary measure, Report informs referring to the company.
“The Nord Stream 2 operator has reduced the pressure in line B to 50 bar (equal to 100,000 Pa) as a precautionary measure. Further steps will be determined based on the results of an inspection of the gas pipeline lines and discussions with the involved government agencies,” Nord Stream AG said in a statement.
Explosions occurred on September 26 on two Russian export gas pipelines to Europe - Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 at once. Germany, Denmark and Sweden do not rule out targeted sabotage.
