The share of nuclear energy in the global energy balance will increase from the current 10% to 20% by 2050, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said, Report informs via TASS.
“Such energy sources [nuclear power plants] will be in greater demand. Because the nuclear industry is very capital-intensive. And construction takes quite a long time. But what is important is that new technologies will appear,” Novak added.
According to him, Russia has long become a world leader in the field of nuclear energy and will therefore occupy one of the main places in this market.
