Natural gas prices in Europe rise

Gas prices in Europe rose above $960 per 1,000 cubic meters during trading on February 23 for the first time since February 14, Report informs referring to the London Stock Exchange ICE.
The cost of March futures at the TTF hub in the Netherlands rose to $960.6 per 1,000 cubic meters.
The overall increase in the cost of gas has been around 2.8% since the beginning of the day.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that Berlin was halting the certification of the Nord Stream 2 project after Russia recognized the Luhansk and Donetsk 'people's republics'. Later, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said that in the light of what was happening, this project was frozen.
