Natural gas export from Azerbaijan to Turkey increases by 16%

In March Azerbaijan exported 1,072,000,000 cubic meters of gas to Turkey, up 16% from the previous year, Report informs, citing Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).
Thus, Azerbaijan became the second gas supplier of Turkey.
Russia ranked first with an export of 2,584,000,000 cubic meters of gas to Turkey, which is 6.6-fold more than a year ago.
Iran exported 850 million cubic meters of gas in March, up 52.4% from March 2020.
In the reporting period, Turkey imported 5,827,000,000 cubic meters of gas, showing a 47.8% growth in comparison to the previous year.
Of this, 4,506,000,000 cubic meters were transported via pipeline, 2.4-fold more than a year ago.
