Nasirov: SGC strengthens Azerbaijan's role as exporter of natural gas in energy market

After the liberation of its territories, Azerbaijan ensured even greater security for the transportation of energy resources, SOCAR Vice President for Investments and Marketing Elshad Nasirov told the Baku Energy Forum.
According to him, natural gas is becoming a political tool, but Azerbaijan has never used this natural resource in such a way.
Nasirov noted that the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) project made it possible to strengthen the role of Azerbaijan as an exporter of natural gas in the energy market.
"SGC is a project with expansion opportunities. It is planned to increase its capacity and increase gas production in the country," he added.
Nasirov also noted favorable prices for transportation.
