The Japanese authorities have decided on their readiness to ensure the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the EU countries in the event of an aggravation of the situation around Ukraine, NHK TV reports citing government sources.
Report informs that at the moment, the Japanese side has not yet decided on the volume and possible timing of deliveries in the event of an escalation of the conflict. It is also not yet clear whether Japan will use the gas from its reserves or redirect to the EU part of the LNG intended for it under the contract from a third country.
