Lavrov: No reason to believe that OPEC+ format will be destroyed

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that at the moment there is no reason to believe that the OPEC+ mechanism will be destroyed since no one is interested in this, Report informs citing TASS.

"We noted that Americans are approaching on this subject to Saudi Arabia, and to the Emirates, to Qatar both for oil and gas. And all the countries I have listed, as well as Venezuela and Iran, clearly say that when we consider issues related to the emergence of new participants in the oil market, we are all committed to the OPEC+ format, where quotas for each participant are discussed and agreed on the basis of consensus; and I still see no reason to believe that this mechanism will be somehow destroyed. No one is interested in this," he said at the opening of the final of the International track of the Leaders of Russia contest on Saturday.
