Large gas field discovered in Georgia

Georgia has confirmed 13 billion cubic meters of natural gas deposits, Report informs, citing the interview of the head of the country's State Oil and Gas Agency, Giorgi Tatishvili, with Business Media.
According to him, reserves were discovered in a well dug by Schlumberger company near Tbilisi.
Tatishvili noted that horizontal drilling is required in the licensed area.
The head of the agency said that if the field is fully exploited, Georgia will be able to fully meet its natural gas needs within eight years.
Schlumberger has been searching for natural gas reserves in Georgia since 2018.
