Khalik Mammadov: 'SOCAR directs 6.8 mcm of natural gas for public consumption'

As much as 6.8 million cubic meters of natural gas are directed to the consumption of the local population annually after being processed in the territory of the Siyazanneft Oil and Gas Extraction Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Khalik Mammadov, SOCAR's vice-president for human resources and security, said at the panel discussions during the event on “Green transformation in Azerbaijan: Sustainable Development Goals,” Report informs.

According to Mammadov, 1,250 subscribers in 15 surrounding villages were supplied with natural gas thanks to this.

Mammadov said that all this was done based on SOCAR's corporate social responsibility and environmental protection principles.
