KazTransOil sends over 2.5M tons of Russian oil in transit to China

In the first quarter of 2024, Kazakhstan’s JSC KazTransOil (KTO) transited 2.507 million tons of Russian oil to China via the Atasu-Alashankou main oil pipeline, Report informs referring to the company.
According to KTO data, in 2023 the volume of Russian oil transit through Kazakhstan to China amounted to 9.989 million tons.
In 2014-2023, KazTransOil provided transit of 91 million tons of Russian oil to China.
KazTransOil JSC has been transiting Russian oil through the territory of Kazakhstan to the PRC since 2014 under the Kazakh-Russian agreement dated December 24, 2013.
