Iran eyes increasing gas exports to Turkiye

Iran plans to increase gas exports to Turkiye, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Ovji said at a conference within the Baku Energy Forum, Report informs.
He said that the country also exports gas to Iraq, carries out swap gas supplies with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
Iran’s petrochemical capacity reached 92 million tons last year.
“We are ready to trade gas along our entire border. Given the vast gas fields, we are ready to provide gas supplies to meet demand. We are also interested in LNG projects,” Ovji said.
In addition, he added that despite the vast reserves of natural resources, Iran takes into account the possibility of generating electricity through renewable energy.
