IFC may invest in private sector in Azerbaijan's energy field 

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) may invest in the private sector in the energy field of Azerbaijan, Report informs, referring to a meeting between Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan's Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA), and a delegation led by Aliya Azimova, IFC Country Representative in Azerbaijan.

The meeting discussed public-private sector partnership in the field of renewable energy, involvement of the private sector in the field of renewable energy, electricity export, and tariff issues.

The IFC expert on Public-Private Sector Partnership, Filip Drapak, spoke about the effectiveness of the public-private sector partnership in renewable energy production and drew attention to the Corporation's experience in attracting investments in the energy sector.
