In March 2025, alternative and renewable energy sources accounted for 52.8% of the electricity produced in the operational area of the State Energy Service of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
According to Report, last month, 29,525,626 kWh of electricity was produced at the power plants in the operational area of the State Energy Service.
Of this, 13,929,379 kWh or 47.2% were produced at thermal power plants, 9,345,375 kWh or 31.6% were produced at hydroelectric power plants, and 6,250,872 kWh or 21.2% were produced at solar and wind-solar hybrid power plants and transmitted to the power grids.
Compared to the same period last year, the share of thermal power plants in total electricity production decreased by 14.5%, the share of hydroelectric power plants increased by 8.9%, and the share of solar power plants increased by 5.5%.
Some 15,596,247 kWh of electricity was produced from alternative and renewable energy sources, which accounts for 52.8% of total energy.
