Gas consumption in Azerbaijan grows over 8%

In 2021, Azerbaijan consumed about 13 billion cubic meters of natural gas, Report informs referring to SOCAR’s main production indicators for the past year.
According to the data, this is 8.4% more than in 2020.
"Last year’s increase in the level of gas supply from 96.2% to 96.3%, as well as an almost three-fold increase in carbamide production, are the main factors influencing the growth of consumer indicators," the company said.
SOCAR uses natural gas as a raw material for the production of methanol and carbamide.
