Gas consumption in Azerbaijan grows 9%

Consumption of natural gas in Azerbaijan amounted to 4.8 billion cubic meters in the first quarter of this year, Report informs quoting from SOCAR’s report on drilling, production, processing and export indicators in the first quarter of 2022.

This is 9.3% more than in the same period last year.

“A sharp increase in production volumes at the carbamide and methanol plants, as well as an increase in the level of gas supply in Azerbaijan to 96.3%, affected the growth in gas consumption,” the company said.
