From which countries did Azerbaijan import oil in January-August?

In January-August 2024, Azerbaijan imported 1,316,689.5 tons of oil worth $740,868,490, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistics Committee.

Compared to the same period of 2023, Azerbaijan's oil imports decreased by 3.2% in quantity and 1% in value.

Most of the imports came from Russia - 1,150,363.55 tons of oil (1.5 times more) worth $642,281,590 (1.6 times more) were imported from this country.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported the remaining volume of oil, namely 34,593.12 tons worth $22,828,700 from Kazakhstan, and 131,732.83 tons worth $75,758,210 from Turkmenistan.

According to the committee, Azerbaijan imported 1,917,793.68 tons (2.9 times more) of oil worth $1,077,237,600 (2.4 times more compared to 2022) in 2023. Most of this was imported from Russia - 1,303,999.1 tons (6.6 times more) worth $729,263,740(5.5 times more).
