Foreign companies may implement green energy projects in Nakhchivan

Masdar, ACWA Power, and Fortescue Future Industries companies operating in Azerbaijan can implement green energy projects in Nakhchivan, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) under the Ministry of Energy.

AREA management and representatives of Masdar, ACWA Power, and Fortescue Future Industries companies visited Nakhchivan. Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held with the employees of the State Energy Service.

Information about the general energy system and renewable energy projects of the State Service was heard. It was pointed out that the Autonomous Republic has a vast renewable energy potential, and discussions were held in realizing industrial-scale green energy projects. The delegation visited the solar power plant located in the Babek district.

Later, a meeting was held with representatives of the State Service for Real Estate and Land Issues. The delegation inspected the areas considered for green energy projects.
