First unit of Türkiye's Akkuyu nuclear power plant may be commissioned soon

The first power unit of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in Türkiye may be put into operation within a year, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told the Anadolu News Agency, Report informs.
The deputy prime minister added that the economic feasibility of building another nuclear power plant in Türkiye is currently being studied.
Rosatom is constructing Türkiye's first nuclear power plant Akkuyu in Mersin province. The station will consist of four power units with a capacity of 1200 MW each.
