Eurostat reveals volume of EU gas imports from Azerbaijan in 7 months

European Union (EU) countries - Italy, Greece, and Bulgaria have increased their gas imports from Azerbaijan by 5.5% to 297,765 terajoules in January-July of 2024 compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the EU Statistical Office (Eurostat).

During the reporting period, EU countries imported gas worth 2 billion 484.2 million euros (a decrease of 35.5%) from Azerbaijan.

In July, EU countries increased their gas imports from Azerbaijan by 7.2% to 43,244 terajoules and allocated nearly 398.5 million euros for these purposes (0.2% less compared to July 2023).
