Eni intends to withdraw from joint venture with Gazprom

Italy's Eni intends to pull out of a joint venture with Gazprom, which owns the Blue Stream gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey, Report informs via the Italian ANSA agency.
Blue Stream allows direct deliveries of Russian gas to Turkey through the Black Sea, bypassing third countries. The total length of its land and sea sections is 1,213 km. The construction of the gas pipeline was completed in December 2002, and commercial gas supplies began in February 2003.
In 2021, 15.98 billion cubic meters of gas were transported through the main gas pipeline.
