EIA releases 2025 forecast for oil and condensate production in Azerbaijan

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) has left unchanged its forecast for liquid hydrocarbon production in Azerbaijan for 2025.

Report informs, citing EIA's monthly outlook, that oil and condensate production in Azerbaijan will amount to 0.62 million barrels per day (b/d) this year, consistent with EIA's April forecast.

Specifically, actual production in the first quarter was 0.57 million b/d, while in the second quarter it is forecasted at 0.62 million b/d (compared to April’s forecast of 0.63 million b/d), in the third quarter — 0.64 million b/d (unchanged from April), and in the fourth quarter — 0.63 million b/d (April forecast: 0.64 million b/d).

Thus, the EIA expects a 10,000 b/d decrease in oil production in the second and fourth quarters of this year.

As previously reported, in 2024, Azerbaijan's production of liquid hydrocarbons stood at 0.60 million b/d, with production at 0.60 million b/d in Q1, 0.59 million b/d in Q2 and Q3, and 0.60 million b/d in Q4.
