Deloitte more than triples its natural gas price forecast for this year

This year, the average price of 1 MMBTU of natural gas in Europe (1 MMBTU = 26.8 cubic meters natural gas) is projected at $15.3, Report informs referring to the Deloitte’s Business Outlook in Azerbaijan.
According to the document, this is $10.43 or 3.14 times more than the forecast for 2022 in the previous year.
In 2021, the average price of 1 MMBTU of natural gas was $16.1.
According to the report, in 2023, one MMBTU of natural gas is projected at $7.23.
According to the World Bank, in 2022, the average price of one MMBTU of natural gas is projected at $12.3. This is $7.38 or 2.5 times more than the previous year’s forecast for 2022.
According to the bank, last year the average price for 1 MMBTU of natural gas in Europe was $14.5. In 2023, the average price of 1 MMBTU of natural gas is projected at $8.8, and in 2024 at $8.4.
The price of 1 MMBTU in the world market of natural gas is $5.538.
