Commercial propylene production soars in Azerbaijan

In January 2022, Azerbaijan produced 14,400 tons of propylene, 16,100 tons of polyethylene, and 15,600 tons of ethylene, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, in January 2022, 13,700 tons of propylene were commercial.

Over the past year, propylene production increased by 5.9%, while commercial propylene production soared by 8.7%.

In the reporting period of 2022, Azerbaijan's ethylene and polyethylene production decreased by 10.1% and 12.8%, respectively.
