China discovers natural gas field

A large natural gas field has been found in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Report informs, referring to Xinhua.
PetroChina, a state-owned company, has discovered a new field with estimated reserves of 109 billion cubic meters, located in 156 square kilometers in the middle of the southern boundaries of the Junggar Basin in the north of the region.
Huo Jin, general manager of the company's local division, said on Friday that the new field is expected to produce 610,000 cubic meters of natural gas and 106.3 cubic meters of oil per day.
