BTC oil transportation through Turkey declines by 9%

In August this year, 16.614 million barrels of oil were transported through Turkey via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, down 961 million barrels or 5.47% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the Turkish pipeline operator BOTAS.
In January-August 2021, 132.052 million barrels of oil were delivered through Turkey by the BTC pipeline, a drop of 12.473 million barrels or 8.63% from the first eight months of 2020.
The BTC pipeline mainly carries oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of fields and condensate from Shah Deniz. Moreover, other crude oil and condensate volumes, including oil from Turkmenistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, are transported through the BTC.
