Brent price falls to $86.7 per barrel

Prices for benchmark oil fell slightly on Tuesday morning; quotes ended the previous session at their highest since the end of October, Report informs via Interfax.

The price of Brent May futures on the London ICE Futures exchange amounted to $86.69 per barrel, down $0.20 (0.23%) from the previous session close.

On Monday, these contracts increased in price by $1.55 (1.8%) to $86.89 per barrel, renewing the record of October 2023.

WTI oil futures for April decreased by $0.14 (0.17%) to $82.58 per barrel in e-trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).

At the end of the last session, the futures rose in price by $1.68 (2.1%), to $82.72 per barrel, which is the highest level since October 27, according to MarketWatch.

Oil prices were affected by news about Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian refineries.
