Oil prices fell moderately on May 14 morning after rising to almost three-week highs at the end of the previous session, Report informs.
The cost of July Brent crude futures on the London ICE Futures exchange fell by $0.39 (0.59%) to $66.24 per barrel.
WTI crude futures for June on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) fell by $0.38 (0.6%) to $63.29 per barrel.
The main positive factor for the oil market this week was the news that the US and China reached an agreement on a mutual reduction in import duties for 90 days.
According to analysts, as the story with duties fades into the background, the market's attention will switch to OPEC+ supplies and whether the alliance is going to continue to actively increase supply.
