Brent crude oil exceeds $96 for first time since early June

The price of September futures for Brent crude oil rose above $96 per barrel for the first time since June 8, Report informs.
According to data from the ICE exchange, the benchmark climbed by 5.5% during morning trading to reach $96.03 per barrel.
September futures for WTI crude oil also surged by 1.5%, rising to $88.1 per barrel.
Overnight, the Houthi movement ruling in northern Yemen claimed to have struck two Saudi Arabian oil tankers, the Encela and the Laylia. Movement representatives stated that the vessels had violated a maritime navigation ban.
