The operator of two large offshore projects, BP Azerbaijan, plans to stop two platforms for repairs and maintenance, the company told Report.
According to BP, one of the platforms at the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) oil field and the Shah Deniz Alpha platform at the Shah Deniz gas condensate deposit will be scheduled for maintenance.
In 2022, BP plans to carry out repairs and preventive maintenance on two platforms - one at ACG, one at Shah Deniz. Production will be completely suspended on the platforms for the period of repairs, the company noted, adding that the timing of the work is being specified.
As in previous years, repair costs and production cutbacks during platform shutdowns are included in this year’s oil, gas and condensate production budget and plan.
