BP: Construction of hydroelectric power station in Azerbaijan's Jabrayil to begin in 2025

The construction of the Shafag Solar Power Plant (SPP) will begin this year in Jabrayil district, BP's vice president for the Caspian region Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli told journalists, Report informs.
"In November 2024, an investment agreement was signed for the implementation of the Shafag SPP construction project within the framework of the COP29 climate conference. The demining of the future station's territory has already been completed, with only the certification process remaining. The technical and economic feasibility study of the project is also ready. The final investment decision on the construction of the station is expected to be made this year," Aslanbayli noted.
