Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli: Foundation of new solar power plant will be laid in Jabrayil this year

The Final Investment Decision (FID) on the construction of the 240 MW solar power plant by bp in Jabrayl will be adopted in the second half of this year, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, bp's Vice President for the Caspian region, Communications and External Affairs, told Report.
According to him, the preparatory work is already being completed: "Mine-clearing work is about to be completed. The final technical and commercial aspects related to the FID will be prepared."
The bp official stressed that the foundation of the solar power plant will be laid this year after the FID is adopted.
The initial cost of the solar power plant is estimated at $200 million.
